    Description

    Tyto Athene is hiring a **Data Visualization Developer** to join a newly awarded Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management contract supporting a federal customer. This role involves designing and developing data-driven visualizations, dashboards, and web applications to support mission-critical analytics initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and deliver modular, scalable software applications to support customer analytics needs.

    + Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.

    + Transform data sets, both quantitative and qualitative, into compelling visuals that inform decision-making.

    + Provide visual, technical, and editorial guidance across cybersecurity teams.

    + Support web development, web engineering, and dashboard integration.

    + Work with large datasets, performing ETL (extract, transform, load) using languages like Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.

    + Design dashboard layouts, visual elements, and interactivity, including chart types, color palettes, and other design elements to ensure clarity and impact.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

    + Experience with SQL and PowerBI for dashboarding.

    + Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.

    Desired:

    + Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    + Experience with Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.

    **Clearance:** Active Secret clearance required

    **Location:** Hybrid-remote in Washington, DC, with expected 2-3 days on-site per week
