Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Electrification Engineer to support one of our largest federal clients in Wisconsin. The Sr Engineer – Electrification designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems. Performs engineering analysis and electrical design or re-design, and development of electrical systems and subsystems into existing and new vehicles. Provides integration and execution support for vehicle control and embedded systems development. Responsibilities include:
- Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
- Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
- Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
- May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
- Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
- Responsible for design and integration of electrical components and circuitry into heavy duty vehicles.
- Support more senior engineers in the preparation of accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
- Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing.
- Participate in one or more projects of limited complexity.
- May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
- Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.

Skills and Requirements
• Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Integration of Power electronics – preferably on vehicles
• 3-10 YOE – DO NOT WANT SOMEONE SUPER SENIOR • Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
• Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
• Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).
• Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.
• Energy Storage system familiarity.
