Job Description

An employer is looking for a Project Manager for one of our top utility clients in the Nation. This Project Manager is accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of a multiyear capital Application Development project for their Customer Experience portfolio . We are looking for someone who has experience running large multimillion dollar projects with experience in waterfall and agile environments. Anyone who is confident in picking-up new processes and running with them, project governance, and managing phase-gating experience will be able to hit the ground running. This PM is responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors, and vendors at distributed work locations, mitigating issues and risks, and communicating status. The PM is also responsible for forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and explaining variances. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record managing complex projects with layers of high visibility, vendor and SI management, and multi-year commitments. This team is very collaborative and are in growth mode looking for someone to come and join the IT PMO!

Skills and Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in a Project Manager role at an enterprise organization

- General understanding of Technology and Application Development or Software implementation projects (Custom App Dev or COTS)

- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce

- Strong project governance and phase gating experience

- Experience streamlining processes and procedures

- Adept at written communication and verbal communication

- Experience working within an Agile environment and supporting waterfall projects across an organization

- Proven experience building strong relationships with internal users, customers, and stakeholders

- Team player and highly collaborative - Experience working within a PMO organization

- Experience working in a Highly Regulated environment
