Project Overview:
The Senior Project Manager provides oversight of all aspects of field- and task-level project performance, including technical, contractual, administrative, and financial components. This role may support multiple projects simultaneously and is responsible for supervising personnel engaged in all aspects of project activity. The Senior Project Manager ensures successful task completion, maintains customer relationships, and guarantees full conformity to contractual obligations.
This role interfaces with all areas affected by the project, including end users, computer services, and client services. The Senior Project Manager ensures adherence to quality standards, manages vendor integrations, reviews deliverables, and exercises independent judgment and high-level analytical skill to solve non-routine technical and managerial problems.
The position also provides leadership for IT and software development projects, applying in-depth knowledge of project management frameworks, database environments, Microsoft Project, Earned Value Management, and Risk Management. The Senior Project Manager ensures projects align with T&T’s CMMI and ITIL quality management frameworks and meet all client performance objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Manage and oversee multiple IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring compliance with contract and performance standards.
+ Oversee all aspects of project performance — technical, contractual, administrative, and financial.
+ Organize, assign, and direct responsibilities to subordinates and subcontractors.
+ Supervise project personnel, monitor progress, and resolve discrepancies to maintain schedule, budget, and quality control.
+ Interface with end users, computer services, and client services to coordinate project activities.
+ Manage vendor tasks, track deliverables, and review contractor performance.
+ Utilize Microsoft Project, Earned Value Management, and Risk Management techniques to ensure effective oversight.
+ Lead continuous process improvement initiatives aligned with CMMI and ITIL standards.
+ Provide technical and personnel management to multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, applications, and systems development.
+ Recommend actions and strategies to resolve project challenges and optimize delivery.
+ Contribute to T&T proposal activities and all other duties as assigned by T&T managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex IT or software engineering projects within a federal contracting environment.
+ Strong command of Microsoft Project, Earned Value Management, and Risk Management principles.
+ Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proven experience supervising and mentoring cross-functional teams.
+ Deep understanding of database administration concepts and environments.
+ Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining project integrity and client satisfaction.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
+ ITIL, Agile, or CMMI certification (preferred).
+ Experience with IDIQ vehicles such as CATTS and federal task-order project management.
+ Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
+ Experience with CMMI, ISO 9001/27001/20000-1, or ITIL frameworks.
+ Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or equivalent project accounting systems.
+ Prior experience managing multiple concurrent government contracts.
Required Education/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
+ Minimum of 8 years of related project management experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
+ Proven experience overseeing multiple, concurrent projects with technical and contractual components.
Required Certifications:
+ · Project Management Professional (PMP) or FAC-PPMcertification
