We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to take a hands-on role in ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of our products at our Green Bay, WI plant on 1st shift. Schedule:
+ 1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
+ Occasional overtime based on business and production needs

Summary:
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Lead performs quality assurance testing and laboratory functions for the facility while assisting with training and support for the Quality team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Understands production processes and advocate procedures to ensure that safe, quality products are produced
2. Knowledge of federal, state, and customer requirements
3. Conduct environmental sampling and maintaining spreadsheets
4. Effectively train employees on quality procedures as necessary
5. Perform Hold and Release procedure as needed
6. Perform internal audits and facility verifications
7. Strong communication skills to collaborate with production supervisors and leads to effectively solve problems in a timely manner
8. Support CCP training, verification, and calibration
9. Conduct investigations and follow up on internal quality issues
10. Cross-train to be back up for Quality Supervisor as needed
11. Participate in audits and inspections.
12. Manage product retain and shelf-life programs
13. Train and mentor Quality staff in job tasks and procedures
14. Assist with New Item Set Up
15. Assist with reviewing labels and supplier documentation
16. Maintain extensive product knowledge
17. Revise and review facility procedures and documents
18. Cover vacations for QA Team requiring flexibility of schedule working off shifts
Requirements
Education/Experience:
+ Associate degree in science related field; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience in cheese processing, food manufacturing, or QA preferred
+ Experience in QA, machine operation, or related role a plus
Skills & Competencies:
+ Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, HACCP, and quality principles
+ Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
+ Ability to read and interpret product specifications, lab manuals, and test results
+ Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds occasionally
