As a Power Project Pursuit Manager you will be reporting to the Director of Strategic Accounts and NA Project Pursuit, the Power Project Pursuit Manager is responsible for managing Pressure Management’s sales growth aligned to annual business and sales objectives centered around the Power Industry. While having to influence sales channel leadership, this role is also accountable for aligning the strategy and assisting channel partners with sales management processes and opportunities to deliver year-over-year above market rate growth. The qualified incumbent will manage the revenue within North America while helping to align resources ensuring technical support, quote response, pricing, and deliveries which meet the region’s market requirements.

     

    The preferred locations for this candidate are Houston, TX; McKinney, TX; or Kansas City.

    In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    + Organize sales resources to support territory and account plans that maximize growth

    + Responsible for forecasting weekly, monthly and annual revenue

    + Deliver project growth within the region and ensure major EPC opportunities are covered and positioned for a win

    + Developing a Pursuit Plan: Establish a clear project pursuit plan and structure the core team required to win.

    + Leading Resources: Coordinate all internal and external resources - sales, proposals, project execution teams, and executive management – to ensure success.

    + Driving Sales Strategy: Lead the sales strategy, building strong relationships with end users, partners, and engineering contractors. Manage the entire project pursuit lifecycle, from the early engagement phase to handover to the project execution team.

    + Applying Methodology: Implement the project pursuit process, including opportunity qualification, sales strategy development, risk analysis, and executive reporting.

    + Increasing Success: Improve project win rates at a price premium by offering differentiated value propositions and ensuring profitability within Emerson’s global guidelines.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    + BS/BA Degree, required; preferably in Engineering or Marketing or related

    + 7 or more years in the process industry with the ability to understand valve applications or related level of understanding

    + A minimum 5+ years sales experience, in a technical sales environment

    + **Travel Flexibility** : Willingness to travel, often at short notice and for extended periods.

    + **Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role**

    Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

    + **Experience & Leadership** : Extensive sales experience with expertise in products, solutions and applications. Leadership and management skills, driving long-term sales for large-scale projects.

    + **Project & Sales Expertise** : Strong understanding of project management and execution fundamentals. Expertise in professional selling techniques for large capital projects, including training in strategic and consultative selling, and negotiations.

    + **Industry Knowledge** : In-depth knowledge of the Power industry.

    + **Contracting and Execution Strategies** : Familiarity with contracting strategies, execution practices, and metrics with global engineering contractors

    + Knowledge of ASME, ANSI and API standards, helpful
