    Job Title: Senior Test Engineer - Air to Ground Weapons

    Duties:

    Seeking qualified candidates to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contractat Eglin AFB in Florida. The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental testagency for air-to-air, air-to-surface, direct-fire, and advanced munitions. The candidateshould have a working knowledge of Convention, Stand-off, and/or Hypersonic weaponsystems; USAF, USN, or Marines fighter/bomber tactics and weapons employment. Priorexperience in developmental weapons, and/or operational weapons testing is highlydesired. Fighter/Bomber Aircrew experience is highly desired. • Lead developmental testplanning and associated documentation for an emerging weapon programs and integratetest plans with program offices and prime contractors. • Forecast and schedule testassets and range requirements • Provide technical review of test directives, methods oftest, data packages, letter reports, and technical reports. • Act a Test Director/ TestConductor during mission execution. • Brief and debrief executing aircrew on missionrequirements and outcomes. • Provide technical management and engineering dutiesrelated to the test and evaluation of major programs to include development tests,engineering evaluation tests, operational evaluation tests, and joint T&E programs onair-to-air/air-to-surface weapons. • Represent the unit and AFTC at conferences and withother commands, HQ USAF, HQ USA, HQ USN, OSD, Department of Homeland Security(DHS), foreign nations, or industry on matters pertaining to the T&E of conventionalweapons systems and their compatibility with various airborne, seaborne, or groundsystems.

     

    Requirements: Master's degree in engineering or applicable discipline and 10+years' experience OR B.S. and 8 years relevant experience.

     

    Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

    Other Essential Job Functions:

    + Experience in DoD weapons acquisition process highly desired.

    + • Experience with USAF and USN fighter/bomber test operations and weapon systems.

    + • Experience developing creative strategies to successfully achieve high-paced testing milestones.

    + • Test Pilot School graduate or Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) graduate desired.

    + Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present test plans to a wide audience.

    + Able to lead teams and coordinate test resources to achieved desired outcomes.

    + Able to interpret and analyze test data and write test reports. Self-Motivated to learn a new system under test and be proactive to meet program requirements.
