    Description

    As part of our supply chain and revenue analyst team, you will have an integral role – ensuring alignment between supplier costs, customer pricing, and contract terms . As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for minimizing erosion of our margins and analyzing market influences that impact cost and price. You will work directly with our Category Management group and Private Label Brands team on financial expectations and product performance.

     

    As a Financial Analyst, specializing in profitability or rebate work, you will partner with Supply Chain, Category Management, and field sales teams to prepare, analyze, and review complex market data to benchmark inventory cost across categories. You will support a newly expanded vendor procurement team that is developing stronger analytic functions to support strategic decisions and execute key initiatives based on vendor costs, terms, and customer pricing. The ideal candidate will bring big-picture business insight, strong analytical ability, and a passion for process improvement to increase organizational profitability, decrease margin erosion, and provide actionable insights to sales, procurement, and leadership teams.

     

    **This role will be onsite, dayshift in our Lithia Springs, GA office M-F.** There could be flexibility to work from home 3–5 days per month.

    _R_** **_esponsibilities:_

    + Build, audit, and fine-tune reports for category management, sales revenue, rebate review, and benchmarking teams.

    + Develop data models and dashboards to transform raw data into actionable insights.

    + Perform ad hoc reporting for own label and other business units.

    + Analyze margin daily and weekly to ensure integrity; identify trends, variances, and risks.

    + Provide monthly margin narratives explaining margin lost due to pricing or business decisions.

    + Communicate insights and trends to leadership to support strategic decisions.

    + Assess cost support requests to validate proposed benefits; partner with category managers to develop supportable business case assumptions (volume, pricing, growth rate, market assumptions).

    + Review product financial performance and advise partners on revenue, cost, and margin trends.

    + Identify areas for improvement in financial performance and collaborate on improvement plans.

    + Monthly reconciliation of profitability initiatives.

    + Work with General Manager on enhancements for profitability reporting for each category in the Distribution Division.

    + Maintain high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

    + Strong ability to work with data to support cost requirements and profit trends.

    _Requirements:_

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in business or related discipline

    + 3+ years in business, finance, data analytics, or financial reporting/forecasting experience

    + MS Office experience and advanced proficiency in MS Excel

    + Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI strongly preferred; AS400, SQL, and AI Copilot a plus)

    + Demonstrated ability to adapt to new analytical tools and software

    + Highest standards for accuracy and precision; must be highly organized

    + Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to prioritize and respond quickly in a dynamic environment
