    DESCRIPTION

    Schedule patient appointments accurately and effectively.

    Regular Job Functions

    • Answers appointment scheduling line and schedules patient appointments in a timely manner per established protocols.

    • Ensures accuracy of data input at time of scheduling.

    • Coordinates appointments with tech and physician as necessary.

    • Responds to patient questions and needs by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments as necessary.

    • Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance plans, workers’ compensation, etc.

    • Maintain/Monitor the Phone Tree Program on a daily basis

    • Handle all Changes in Physician Templating; Profiling; On Call Schedule

    • Communicate with Paging Service

    • Back up for the operator as needed.

    • Other Duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum of six months in a physician office setting performing check-in functions.
