**_Barnes-Jewish Hospital_** at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square foot of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions. Facilities Engineering is comprised of 150 professionals, including engineers, MEP mechanics, building finishes and support staff. The Facilities and Engineering department at Barnes Jewish Hospital is a progressive, innovative department which stresses employee involvement, continued education/training and opportunities for advancement. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Install and maintain various Facility Electrical Systems and Specialty Systems such as Fire Alarms, Pneumatic Tube System, Electrical and Electro-mechanical Equipment and devices. Perform Preventative Maintenance on Electrical Systems, Panels, VFDs and Generators under the direction of the Sr. Electrician.

Responsibilities

+ Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control. Adheres to regulatory guidelines.

+ Keeps equipment clean and operational.

+ Performs Preventative Maintenance on Electrical Systems, Electrical Distribution Systems, Fire Alarms System, Pneumatic Tube System, Emergency Generators and all other Applicable Systems as assigned, under the supervision of the Senior Electrician. , Electrical Distribution Systems, Fire Alarms System, Pneumatic Tube System, Emergency Generators and all other Applicable Systems as assigned, under the supervision of the Senior Electrician.

+ Installs Electrical Circuits.

+ Assist in Electrical Projects as assigned and under the supervision of the Electrical Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Education

+ High School Diploma or GED - Industrial Electricity

Experience

+ <2 years

Supervisor Experience

+ No Experience

Preferred Requirements

Education

+ Associate or Trade School Equi - Industrial Electricity
