SENIOR PROVIDER QUALITY and PERFORMANCE ANALYST
Come Join us! This is a great opportunity to partner with our service line directors and network of providers as a consultant in quality measure performance. This role requires attention to detail, intermediate comfort with using excel, healthcare data analysis experience, ability to use critical thinking skills, and leverage clinical expertise.
The right fit candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, data analytics in population health quality measures or population health outcomes knowledge, an ability to influence direction. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse, or someone with Provider Consulting Experience background in quality or risk adjustment performance.
SUMMARY:
The Senior Provider Quality and Performance Analyst is the primary owner of the provider quality scorecards and electronic system including provider quality metrics and 360 evaluations. Serves as the project lead for the Quality Compensation program for APPs, Primary Care and Specialty Providers for the medical group. Monitors system activity, analyzes data, translates results for various reporting necessities, and serves as first point of contact for key stakeholders including senior level leadership from hospitals and medical group, Service Line Directors, and providers for the quality scorecard. Utilizes project management skills to enhance and grow the Quality and Scorecard processes from year-to-year. Provides training and support to Saint Alphonsus providers and leaders. Maintains the system and evolves it to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data. Supports other systems as needed, providing approval and administrative level support. Develops effective working relationships with physicians, practice managers, recruiters, and other key stakeholders in human resources and other departments.
**HOURS / LOCATION:** This opportunity will be a hybrid. The selection Senior Provider Quality and Performance Analyst will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model. The onsite office location will be at the Boise Regional Medical Center on Curtis Road in Boise.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor's degree required in Health Information, Public Health, IT, Healthcare Administration or Nursing.
+ Master’s degree strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis and/or project management, preferably in health care.
+ **Experience with HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set), PQRS (Physician Quality Reporting System), and other health care quality metrics preferred.**
+ Basic to intermediate level of Excel spreadsheet required.
+ Comfortable providing presentations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Assumes primary ownership of the provider scorecards and electronic system:
+ Meets with physicians, APPs, and operational leaders to develop and implement subspecialty scorecard annually. Supports and communicates with the leaders quarterly on progress of the providers tracked on the scorecards.
+ Provides regular reminders, communication, support, and training throughout the Fiscal Year to providers and leaders.
+ Leads the project work to develop from start to finish scorecards and the scorecard system including work plans, timelines, and may manage project budget in collaboration with senior leader.
+ Creates and maintains appropriate documentation of back-end administrative processes.
+ Works in conjunction with the Patient Experience, Quality, and Contracts departments as well as other key individuals to gather and analyze data.
+ Creates and maintains training materials and conducts trainings for new providers, leaders, and managers on the scorecard system.
+ Serves as a change agent and primary point of contact for physicians and APPs to promote a positive acceptance of the scorecard and measurement system.
+ Assists end users to effectively administer the system as a tool and to understand the benefits of the system.
+ Identifies system issues and other related problems; troubleshoots problems for resolution and works with vendor to resolve.
+ Contributes to process improvement by suggesting and implementing recommendations for system enhancement.
+ Administers system tests and audits to ensure stability and the system is functioning and performing properly.
Recommends system enhancements and collaborates with vendor to determine cost and oversees implementation including troubleshooting solutions.
Finalizes Provider Scorecards annually, extracts end result data and performs in-depth calculation and analysis to identify bonus payment amounts. Works with Finance team to facilitate processing of bonuses and communication to providers.
Oversees and serves as the project manager for the annual provider feedback process:
+ Creates and communicates timeline and process to leaders and lead physicians
+ Builds and sends feedback forms in the Scorecard System. Tracks progress, creates reports for senior leadership, and sends reminders.
+ Creates, maintains, and distributes training materials and conducts training sessions.
+ Provides support throughout process to providers, new physician leaders, and managers.
+ Shares and helps facilitate one-on-one review sessions.
+ Provides support, feedback, tools, and input to managers/directors for challenging or problematic evaluation feedback.
Functions independently.
Understands performance measures.
Assimilates content from organizational scorecards, market data, internal systems and analyzes improvement and mechanisms for improvement.
Maintains confidentiality of provider, staff and medical center information.
Provides APP Compensation support as needed/requested
Provides support with generating reports and analyzing Provider Development data for various stakeholders.
Performs other related duties as assigned
