    Department Description:

    The Research Department at Cambridge Health Alliance advances the organization’s mission by supporting applied services and clinical research that promote health equity, improved delivery of mental health services to adults, youth and children, and community well-being. The department collaborates with a wide range of partners, including other research labs at CHA, other academic partners, including other Harvard Psychiatry Departments, community organizations, health systems, and public agencies. With multidisciplinary expertise, the individuals in the research department assist in the design, implementation and administration of rigorous, community-informed projects that generate actionable insights and drive positive, data-informed change.

    Summary

    The Research and Clinical Assessment Coordinator (RAC) is a part-time role (20 hours per week) dedicated to conducting clinical and research assessments for patients in an outpatient clinic at CHA, a specialized program for individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis. The RAC plays a key role in overseeing the assessment process for all patients entering the clinic and conducting follow-up assessments every six months. This person will also work with one other coordinator to share responsibilities for conducting a medication treatment trial. A portion of the work will include collaborations with McLean Hospital colleagues.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a social science, psychology, or related field with an interest in mental healthcare.

    + Prior experience or strong interest in working with young individuals (ages 15-30) with serious mental illness.

    + This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in clinical assessment within a multidisciplinary mental health setting.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office, RedCap, Excel, Google Suites and other database management programs strongly preferred
