The Division of Motor Vehicles continues to move towards providing excellent customer service. We are seeking to fill one TRS2 vacancy in Commercial Vehicle Services and this position may be your opportunity to demonstrate your broader knowledge base and higher level of analytical skills. The incumbent in this position may be located at any location across the state. This position will need to be proficient in all aspects of Commercial Vehicle Services. They will also be responsible for key decision-making authority with regards to specifically identified DMV programs. This position is critical to the success of DMV's organization model and will have continued importance as the organization seeks to continually improve programs and provide enhanced customer service.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer services skills, independent decision making, and strong interpersonal skills.
Please note: These positions require a criminal background check AND will be scheduled to work during the core hours of 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday.
Examples of Duties:
+ Become a subject matter expert in all areas of commercial registration and special permitting as well as related state and federal requirements;
+ Have the authority, knowledge, and judgment to devise solutions that fall outside existing policies and procedures;
+ Identify, lead and/or assist with process improvement tasks;
+ Serve as a program expert and provide guidance and assistance regarding complex program rules and regulations to office staff and external customers;
+ Frequent contact with internal and external customers, which requires good public relation skills;
+ Function with considerable independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures;
+ Extensive knowledge of department programs and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
+ Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors
+ Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs
+ Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations
+ Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system composing and proofreading business correspondence

+ Completion of required CVS training plans.
