Job Description
We are urgently hiring two Survey Crew Members for our Richmond Office to support our clients program. This long-term initiative, launched in 2014, aims to enhance the electric Grid Reliability by relocating the most outage-prone overhead distribution lines underground, primarily in Virginia. Candidates will be part of a significant project in Virginia, assisting in transitioning distribution power lines from overhead to underground throughout the state. This role focuses mainly on the Richmond market.
Responsibilities
+ Work as a Survey Assistant in a two-person crew.
+ Travel to various sites daily to support the project.
+ Utilize Trimble equipment and DTS5 Data collecting equipment.
+ Assist in relocating distribution lines to improve grid reliability.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in labor and utility work.
+ Knowledge of land surveying and construction.
+ Proficiency with Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD.
+ Ability to perform general labor and right-of-way tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in survey and mapping.
+ Background in GIS.
+ Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
The role involves working throughout the Richmond, VA service territory. Candidates will join a two-person crew, traveling directly to job sites without the need to report to the office first. The work typically begins at 7 AM, and the tasks are carried out in a dynamic outdoor environment. Training will be provided, and reliable candidates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply, as this position offers significant growth opportunities in the company and industry.

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
