As an Interior Designer specializing in workplace environments, you will coordinate all phases of the design process for full life cycle projects. Your role involves generating creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project and translating concepts into images. You will be responsible for executing the preparation and completion of usable construction document detailing solutions, coordinating the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment, and managing contract administration responsibilities. You will also assist in creating and managing project schedules, developing and presenting technical solutions to stakeholders, and leading project studio team members.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate all phases of the design process in full life cycle projects.
+ Generate creative design solutions within project parameters.
+ Translate concepts and information into images.
+ Prepare and complete construction document detailing solutions.
+ Coordinate selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
+ Manage contract administration responsibilities.
+ Assist in creating and managing project schedules.
+ Develop and present technical solutions to stakeholders.
+ Lead project studio team members, providing mentorship and leveraging strengths.
+ Resolve issues between project, design, and technical objectives in coordination with the Project Manager.
+ Coordinate and integrate architectural and consultant documents.
+ Seek innovation in design solutions with curiosity and aim for increased project performance.
+ Understand and apply industry standards and construction practices.
+ Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines.
+ Stay updated on new methodologies, practices, codes, and products.
+ Attend and conduct presentations.
+ Manage client relations.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit.
+ Thorough understanding of construction documents and corporate interiors.
+ Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent.
+ 8+ years of experience in commercial design, with a preference for workplace experience.
+ Strong design portfolio showcasing strengths in conceptual design, space planning, and detailing.
+ Understanding of building and accessibility codes.
+ Experience coordinating with various consultants and contractors.
+ Interest in sustainable design.
+ Professional registration.
+ Effective organizational and communication skills.
+ Attention to detail.

+ Demonstrated experience in coordinating and leading project teams.

Work Environment
The work environment involves projects in aviation, commercial, data centers, education, healthcare, and interior design sectors. The role requires in-office presence 5 days a week. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.00/hr.
