We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager with over 7 years of experience to support our growing environmental site investigation, due diligence, remediation, and compliance practice in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional in environmental consulting who is motivated to foster technical excellence and build strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
+ Manage project team, delegate tasks to office and field staff, and execute daily project activities.
+ Oversee project contractual and financial issues, including terms of agreement, changes in scope, and billing process.
+ Mentor and train existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers.
+ Monitor team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets.
+ Conduct site compliance inspections.
+ Prepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with guidance from the Principal.
+ Conduct and review technical analyses and calculations.
+ Participate in meetings and agency consultations.
+ Conduct internal and client communications.
+ Provide business development support.
+ Assist on projects and tasks outside primary responsibilities as needed.
+ Travel up to 40%, including local, regional, and rarely national trips.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in remediation, site assessment, project management, and environmental science.
+ Experience with Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), site investigations, and environmental compliance.
+ Knowledge of applicable Federal and Michigan laws and regulations, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Michigan Part 111/115, Part 201, Part 213.
+ Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols.
+ Knowledge of contaminants fate and transport in subsurface environments.
+ Experience in conceptual site model development.
+ Possession of or completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus).
+ Experience at consulting engineering firms.
+ Experience in database and GIS is a plus.
+ Experience with statistical review of data.
+ Professional registration such as PE/PG/LSRP is strongly preferred.
+ Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to maintain strong and consistent outreach to clients.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
