    Job Title: I&C DesignerJob Description

     

    We are seeking an experienced I&C Designer to join our team. You will collaborate with licensed engineers and seasoned designers to create panel designs, plan view drawings, and BIM models for industrial facilities. You will also develop IO wire pull schedules, perform conduit, wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray sizing, and create construction drawings for I&C deliverables.

    Responsibilities

    + Design panel layouts, plan view drawings, and BIM models for industrial facilities.

    + Develop IO wire pull schedules, perform conduit and wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, conduit fill, and cable tray sizing.

    + Create construction drawings for I&C deliverables such as P&ID updates, panel drawings, standard installation details, schematics, and connection diagrams.

    + Interpret and apply industry codes and standards, including hazardous area classifications for electrical equipment.

    + Develop specifications and review vendor submittals.

    + Provide on-site assessment, construction support, and start-up assistance.

    + Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across multiple offices.

    + Strengthen client and team relationships with your skills and expertise.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

    + Experience with control panels, BIM, and P&ID.

    + A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.

    + Knowledge of National Electrical Code Standards (NEC).

    + Technical competency in instrumentation, control systems, and panel design.

    + Proficiency in calculations for wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray sizing.

    + Expertise in preparing design criteria and specifications for I&C equipment.

    + Skills in instrument selection and creating datasheets.

    + Experience in designing wiring and conduit drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + A two-year degree with relevant experience.

    + Willingness to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities, client and company-sponsored meetings, trainings, industry seminars, forums, and conventions.

    This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience in your work schedule.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Addison, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
