Job Title: Technical Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Lead to own the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for CGI development projects. The ideal candidate will mentor and develop a talented team of engineers and technicians, optimize production workflows, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Responsibilities
+ Own the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for all CGI development.
+ Mentor and develop a talented team of engineers and technicians.
+ Optimize production workflows to maximize efficiency and output.
+ Serve as the key technical and operational coordinator, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to spec.
+ Drive continuous improvement across the team's processes and technology.
+ Optimize resources for business development and proposal support.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field.
+ Minimum of 2+ years of technical engineering experience developing in 3D environments.
+ Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role with direct reporting responsibilities.
+ Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
+ Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
+ Proven proficiency with Unreal Engine, specifically using Blueprints for visual scripting and leveraging Data Assets.
+ Creative and resourceful problem-solver with the ability to address complex technical and artistic challenges.
+ Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
+ Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
+ Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet project deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
+ A passion for learning and the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills.
+ Authorization to work in the U.S.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of 3D environments and graphics generation.
+ Proficiency in Blender or Autodesk Maya for 3D object modeling/rendering.
+ Experience with UV unwrapping and UV mapping.
+ Proficiency in Substance Painter for high-quality texturing.
+ Experience with GIS tools and GIS data manipulation.
+ Ability to use GIS software like Global Mapper, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
+ Ability to use CAD software like AutoCAD is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $65.00/hr.
