Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment. This role involves reading equipment diagrams, troubleshooting machinery, monitoring production, and maintaining documentation in compliance with GMP standards.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all machinery and equipment are running smoothly.
+ Read new equipment and product diagrams.
+ Troubleshoot machinery in plant operations.
+ Monitor production and document activities according to GMP standards.
+ Perform chemical and pharmaceutical processing using a variety of equipment.
+ Operate a wide range of chemical process and utility equipment and systems.
+ Maintain documentation for equipment, facilities, and production records.
+ Perform equipment and room cleaning and sampling.
+ Conduct manufacturing housekeeping, waste removal, and inventory activities.
+ Support various inspections as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Troubleshooting
+ Electronics
+ Experience in chemical production and pharmaceutical manufacturing
+ Understanding of GMP and documentation review
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or 2-3 years of experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
+ Exposure to APIs is a plus.
Work Environment
The position involves working with teams of four supervisors and a team of technicians. The schedule consists of four 12-hour shifts following a 2-3-2 pattern, with alternating day and night shifts every five weeks. Training will occur on the day shift for the initial few weeks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
