We are seeking a candidate with clinical research pharmacy experience to lead our Phase I Pharmacy operations. This role is pivotal in managing investigational drugs and ensuring adherence to protocols in clinical studies.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, compound, and dispense investigational drugs according to specific study protocols.
+ Manage supply ordering, storage, accountability, and destruction of investigational products.
+ Ensure all activities adhere to federal, state, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines, as well as sponsor and FDA regulations.
+ Maintain meticulous records for investigational drugs, including inventory, dispensing, and financial implications.
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including research nurses, coordinators, and other healthcare professionals, to support the study.
+ Verify product accuracy and integrity and prepare sterile products when needed.
+ Act as a resource for the research community regarding the safe and effective use of investigational drugs.
+ Represent the institution on the IRB and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
Essential Skills
+ PharmD
+ 2–3+ years in clinical research pharmacy
+ Specialty/sterile compounding
+ Investigational drug experience
+ 5+ years of people leadership/management in a pharmacy or highly regulated clinical research setting
+ Experience working under strict protocols, SOPs, and documentation requirements
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must have compounding experience, including IV compounding.
+ Nuclear and oncology pharmacy experience is a plus.
+ Ability to work in fast-moving Phase I studies and be open to pivoting.
Work Environment
This role is based in a small Phase I pharmacy, requiring presence on the floor with various team members during dosing days. The work involves being part of a close-knit team, with much of the time spent behind closed doors, but maintaining a known presence within the team. Candidates will be set up with temperature, power, and humidity alerts for the pharmacy. Email and text alerts will be utilized to ensure compliance and safety.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
