Job Title: QC TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a diligent QC Technician to join our team. This role involves working Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm, primarily on the production floor. The QC Technician will be responsible for ensuring product quality by documenting data and non-conformances, escalating issues to the QA Lead, and conducting visual inspections of products. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the pesticide and home protection manufacturing business within crop science, with potential for promotion as the company grows.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
+ Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.
+ Monitor, measure, and document line processes to assure conformance to product Master specifications.
+ Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.
+ Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.
+ Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.
+ Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.
+ Pull product retain samples.
+ Comply with all company policies and procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with GMP, quality inspection, and GMP/FDA regulations.
+ Proficiency in quality assurance, laboratory work, document control, and working in regulated environments.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office and quality check processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma minimum with relevant experience or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline.
+ Experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is ideal, but not limited to crop science or manufacturing.
+ Soft skills are crucial—interest in learning, strong attention to detail, and a sense of pride in one's work.
+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) for quick determinations based on line inspections.
Work Environment
The QC Technician will spend almost 100% of their time on the production floor, with occasional time spent in the lab. This role requires being on one's feet every day to conduct inspections, offering exposure to different instrumentation and cutting-edge products in a dynamic and growing company.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
