    What You’ll Do

    As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll dive into real-world projects from day one, gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals and contribute to the design and execution of power delivery systems that keep communities running.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    + Designing and drafting electrical substations (Low, Medium, High Voltage)

    + Creating calculations, design sketches, and redline drawings

    + Collaborating with Designers and CADD Technicians to meet national standards and safety codes

    + Developing deliverables like one-line diagrams, protection/control schematics, SCADA schemes, and grounding plans

    + Conducting site visits during design, construction, and commissioning phases

     

    What You Bring

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

    + EIT certification or plans to take the FE exam

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design principles

    + Passion for renewable energy and utility-scale projects

    Bonus skills:

    + Experience in substation design

    + Strong schematic and troubleshooting abilities

    + Exposure to electric utility projects

     

    Work Environment & Perks

     

    + Hybrid schedule based in Lexington or Louisville, KY

    + Less than 15% travel to project sites

    + Flexible hours and a collaborative team culture

    + Newly renovated office in downtown Chattanooga

    + Work alongside 100+ engineers across disciplines

    + Must reside in Kentucky, Tennessee, or Arkansas ( Can be flexible with the hybrid schedule visiting the onsite office at least 1-2 times per month if not located in Lexington, KY)

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
