    Jacobs Project Management Company is seeking a Project Manager - Buildings for the Boston, MA office.

    In this role, you will:

    Lead the planning and execution of projects by defining objectives, timelines, and budgets in alignment with the owner's goals. Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to optimize project collaboration. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues, maintaining project momentum. Manage project finances, including budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and cost control to ensure fiscal responsibility. Implement quality assurance processes to uphold project standards, performing regular reviews and inspections. Develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines and deliverables. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance and performance. Oversee adherence to regulatory requirements, securing necessary permits and conducting inspections as needed. Manage scope changes, evaluating impacts on project timelines and budgets, and effectively communicating adjustments to stakeholders. Compile and maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence for transparency and accountability. Lead project close-out processes, including final evaluations, inspections, and lessons learned sessions for continuous improvement.

     

    Telecommuting/ Hybrid schedule is allowed.

    REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, or closely related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.

     

    SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Project Management: Experience managing the full construction lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and financial oversight (Procore or CoConstruct for tracking and collaboration). Construction Methods & Materials: building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural) and construction techniques. Building Codes & Regulations: Familiarity with local building codes, environmental laws, and ADA accessibility standards. Contract Management: Expertise in construction contracts (e.g., AIA), negotiation, dispute resolution, and contractor procurement. Scheduling & Budgeting: Ability to create and manage project schedules, track milestones, estimate costs, and manage budget overruns (MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet for timeline management). Estimating: RS Means or STACK for cost estimation. Quality Assurance: overseeing inspections, testing, and ensuring quality standards. Procurement & Compliance: public bidding processes, legal aspects of construction, and government contracting. Sustainability: energy-efficient and sustainable building practices (e.g., LEED and NE-CHPS).

     

    Certification: OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
