General Summary:
Under general supervision, but in accordance with policies, practices and procedures, reviews account and loan problems and determines root causes to ensure proper file maintenance of accounts. Monitors several lending specific reports to assist the Credit Union in mitigating its risk and regulatory compliance. Provides professional external and internal customer service and support to other departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Be a mentor to lending support representatives and coordinators.
+ Ensures timely response to member research requests pertaining to areas of responsibility. Provides member assistance in problem areas of account/loan maintenance, interest and payoff calculations and statement problems. Notate and maintains related records and summaries of research on these loan accounts.
+ Processes return ACH and check payments on loans for the Accounting Department.
+ Post payoff wires and checks reviewed from third parties and members.
+ Prepare payoff folders for lien release coordinator.
+ Assist the lending support specialist with maintaining and updating the home equity paid off log
+ Process loan modifications and payment adjustments requested by members through branches and call center.
+ Process, as needed share charge offs and monthly loan charge offs.
+ Reviews and maintains monthly loan related reports to mitigate risk and regulatory compliance.
+ Interact with lenders, title companies, law offices etc. for payoff statements and release of home equity real estate liens. Help prepares certificates of satisfaction and other documents as necessary.
+ Provides professional internal customer service and support to other departments by answering questions and mentoring co-workers regarding the resolution of member service issues.
+ Provides documentation and scanning help to Archivist for final documents and recorded lien releases received from agents and countrywide cities and county.
+ Field car title inquires when the Loan Support Representative is unavailable. Prepare and mail notarized auto lien release confirmations as needed.
+ Complies with all applicable Rules, Regulations and Statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: The Credit Union Bylaws, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree optional, but not required. Three years customer service/lending support work experience or high school diploma/equivalent education plus 3 years relevant experience required. One (1) year of lending or loan auditing experience is preferred.
Skills: Excellent math skills and familiarity with basic accounting principles required. Requires high level of accuracy; proofreading skills; flexibility and willingness to adapt to change, Proficiency with PC applications such as Word and Excel, Synergy, and Symitar required.

Time in Service: None Required.
Salary Range: Staunton/Waynesboro/Harrisonburg $48,138.00 - $72,207.00
