    Job Description

    The position of Pipe Welder offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including layout and welding in various positions both in the field and within the fabrication shop. This role also involves designing on special projects and functioning as a plumber/pipe fitter. The Pipe Welder is expected to adhere to all safety and conduct policies, maintain high-quality standards, work independently, and supervise coworkers when necessary.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct layout and welding tasks in multiple positions in both the field and the fabrication shop.

    + Design on special projects as required.

    + Perform welding on a variety of metals using multiple types of welders, including MIG and TIG.

    + Work as a plumber/pipe fitter in the field.

    + Abide by all safety and conduct policies across different work sites.

    + Maintain a high-quality initiative while completing assigned duties.

    + Work independently to complete various tasks.

    + Supervise and direct coworkers when needed.

    + Travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in steel pipe welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience with stainless steel and medgas.

    + Certification in steel pipe welding is preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Competent, responsible, organized, and team-oriented.

    + High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.

    + Secondary education in welding or equivalent experience preferred.

    + Medgas certification preferred.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SIOUX FALLS, SD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
