Partnering with a manufacturing company in Boulder, CO seeking a Controller to manage their accounting/finance operations. This is a small team looking for a hands-on leader a they continue to grow. This company has been in business for several decades and is growing!

Responsibilities for the Controller includes...

+ Accounting & Finance Management: Lead daily operations of the finance function, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger management, payroll oversight, and expense reporting.

+ ERP Oversight: Serve as the primary administrator for the company’s ERP system (Sage 100), ensuring data integrity and seamless system performance.

+ Monthly Close & Reporting: Manage the monthly and annual financial close process, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.

+ Credit Management: Oversee customer credit evaluation and management to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with company policies, including credit approval and monitoring.

+ Chart of Accounts Oversight: Maintain and optimize the company’s chart of accounts structure to ensure accuracy and accessibility for reporting purposes.

+ Contract & Agreement Compliance (MSA, T& Cs): Review and oversee service contracts, sales agreements, master service agreements (MSAs), and terms and conditions to ensure alignment with financial objectives and compliance requirements.

+ Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including sales tax, use tax, and other regulatory filings as necessary.

+ Budget & Forecast: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategy to support long-term company goals.

+ Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and direction to support staff (2 direct reports) involved in financial or operational functions as necessary.

+ Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting and financial workflows, driving efficiency and accuracy across the business.

+ This role will also serve as the Corporate Secretary at Shareholder meetings

Requirements

The ideal Controller comes with...

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

+ 7+ years of accounting leadership including full-cycle accounting oversight

+ ERP system experience
