Receiving/Production Helper

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Receiving/Production Helper in a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This full-time position operates on the first shift from 6am to 2:30pm. The role offers competitive pay based on experience, with opportunities for daily overtime once trained.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate with the production team to ensure production schedules meet customer due dates.

+ Assist in processing production orders and performing quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production.

+ Receive and inspect customer products for processing, including greeting customers at the service counter and receiving shipments from carriers.

+ Conduct purchase order verification and visual inspections for part damage or previous processing.

+ Verify part quantities and maintain part identification and traceability.

+ Ensure all paperwork is complete and maintained as per internal procedures.

+ Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow of the receiving area.

+ Engage in learning new skills and cross-training into various departments.

Essential Skills

+ Bilingual in English/Spanish.

+ Professional communication skills for customer interaction via phone, email, and in-person.

+ Basic knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

+ Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

+ Valid driver's license.

+ Strong customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in shipping and receiving.

+ Knowledge of packaging, material handling, inventory control, and data entry.

+ Skill in inspection and inventory management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $22.00/hr.
