Job Title: Low Voltage Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to repair, troubleshoot, and service electronic security systems for commercial customers. You will perform preventative maintenance inspections, respond to customer issues, and provide effective solutions. This role involves resolving software or hardware problems at customer sites and is responsible for ongoing service delivery, urgent service response calls, and the installation of security/alarm systems and financial equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Repair, troubleshoot, and service electronic security systems for commercial customers.
+ Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
+ Respond to customer problems and offer effective solutions.
+ Resolve software or hardware issues at customer sites.
+ Ensure ongoing service delivery and respond to urgent service calls.
+ Install security/alarm systems and financial equipment.
+ Travel throughout Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse without overnight stays.
Essential Skills
+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
+ Electronics technician degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
+ Willingness to travel throughout Western and Central New York.
+ Experience in troubleshooting, installation, conduit, wiring, and blueprint reading.
+ Knowledge of fire alarm installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with alarm installation, access control, and CCTV.
+ Electrical schooling experience.
+ Proficiency in low voltage and security systems.

Work Environment
Work in diverse commercial environments such as hospitals, office parks, and industrial facilities. The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, focusing on service and installations from Buffalo through Syracuse.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
