Where We Need You:

The Technology Consulting practice is seeking a Managing Director to join our growing team focused within the Energy and Utilities sector.

Managing Directors are focused on developing business opportunities in the marketplace and are valuable leaders within our organization and the business community. Managing Directors pride themselves on client satisfaction and as leaders on engagements, ensure that each engagement project is performed to Protiviti’s standards of quality and meet the needs of the client. Managing Directors ensure that each client project is completed with the client satisfied with our service and the quality of our work. Managing Directors develop lasting relationships within the business community and are respected for their areas of expertise.

• You collaborate with other leaders to develop client strategies to support current projects and longer-term business strategy.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

• Strong understanding of leading technology components and best practices including:

• Cloud Provider Platforms

• Cloud Native Application Technology

• Operational technology within the Energy & Utilities industry sector

• Solution architecture experience

• Ability to network and build relationships.

• Identify opportunities and establish a sales pipeline.

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences, ranging from non-technical people to executive level technical decision-makers.

• Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple engagements and work streams with various clients.

• Ability to work with a diverse portfolio of clients within the Energy & Utilities industry.

• Experience with application architecture including layout of application’s deployment and design.

• Experience with automation and orchestration including streamlining single tasks through a repeatable and uninterrupted process and automating the execution of complex processes with a variety of variables.

• Capable of developing processes and architecture for integrating disparate services

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutions.

• Experience with managing the governance, risk and compliance aspect of cloud-based technology.

• Demonstrated knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing and mitigating them.

• Demonstrated strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences, ranging from non-technical people to executive level technical decision-makers.

• Supervisory experience of teams including Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managers, Senior Managers and Associate Directors.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business-Related Field and/or Engineering)

• 20+ years in a related field required, preferably in professional services

• Technology specific certifications around Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft, etc. are strongly preferred

• Certifications including but not limited to disciplines such as architecture (e.g., TOGAF), application life cycle management (e.g., PMP, Agile Scrum/Product Owner, SAFe, DevOps), service management (e.g., ITIL) are a plus

It is expected that you will reside within a reasonable daily commute of your assigned Protiviti home office by your start date. Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from a variety of locations including your Protiviti home office, an in-town and/or out-of-town client site, and/or from a remote location such as your residence. It is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

Protiviti operates in a hybrid environment. Travel can occur throughout the month based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include suburban, regional, or out of state locations.

Protiviti provides paid Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) our people receive varies based on their years of service. A new hire receives up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. For every 3 years of service, our people receive an additional 3 days of CTO, up to a maximum of 30 days per year. Our people also receive up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year. We offer the opportunity to contribute to our company 401(k) savings and investment plan, with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions for eligible employees.
