Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Burlington, North Carolina. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and strengthen internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in manufacturing finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision and clarity.

• Drive the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed within a strict two-day deadline.

• Supervise general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and validation of financial data.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance standards.

• Coordinate audits by collaborating effectively with internal and external auditors.

• Establish and manage cost accounting systems to monitor production costs, allocate overhead, and value inventory.

• Maintain the fixed asset register, perform periodic asset audits, and reconcile physical assets with accounting records.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of annual property tax filings.

• Partner with cost accountants and operations teams to analyze cost variances and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.

• Conduct detailed financial analyses and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making. Requirements • Proven experience with month-end close processes in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger activities and financial statement preparation.

• Familiarity with financial audits and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Expertise in cost accounting systems and inventory valuation.

• Proficiency in managing fixed assets and conducting periodic asset audits.

• Ability to prepare property tax filings accurately and on time.

• Solid analytical skills with a focus on financial analysis and variance reporting.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
