Job Title: Operator

Job Description

Join our team as an Operator, where you will work alongside the foreman to inspect all parts ensuring they meet quality standards. You will be responsible for using gauges such as micrometers and height gauges to inspect parts and use blueprints to identify measurements. You will perform first and last piece inspections and assist with machine set-ups under the guidance of the foreman.

Responsibilities

+ Work alongside the foreman to inspect all parts.

+ Use gauges like micrometers and height gauges for part inspection.

+ Identify measurements using blueprints.

+ Conduct first and last piece inspections.

+ Ensure all parts meet quality standards.

+ Train with the foreman to assist with machine set-ups.

Essential Skills

+ 2 years of experience in machine operating with steel/metal.

+ Proficiency with quality inspection tools such as gauges and micrometers.

+ Ability to understand and read blueprints.

+ Experience in checking for tolerances.

+ Experience using a wrench.

+ Capability to set up a machine (any type).

Work Environment

Work in a brand-new, updated facility with bright, clean spaces and air-conditioned inspection and break rooms. The work schedule is structured with one 30-minute lunch break after the first four hours of work, with no additional smoke breaks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
