Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units from start to finish. This role involves using a variety of hand and power tools, requiring mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as computer knowledge. Candidates will read schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals to build units and must be able to layout and build control panels, assemble conveyors, install motors, and build panel boards. Willingness to perform both simple repetitive tasks and high-level assembly including troubleshooting and repairing components is essential. The role also includes assisting with other tasks around the facility such as warehouse and packaging duties.
Responsibilities
+ Complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units using hand and power tools.
+ Read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals.
+ Layout and build control panels, assemble conveyors, install motors, and build panel boards.
+ Troubleshoot and repair components as needed.
+ Perform installation of wiring, electric components, terminals, jump fuses, and panels.
+ Assist with various tasks around the facility, including warehouse and packaging duties.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
+ Knowledge of computers, including Excel and data entry.
+ Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with computer software beyond Microsoft Office.
+ Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and installation of electric components.
+ Ability to read and understand new software programs.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a climate-controlled assembly area and warehouse in a newer facility. The standard work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Flexible start times may be available to accommodate childcare needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
