What's the Role?
At Bloomberg Finance, we are committed to providing world-class support to our business leaders by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight, and commercial leadership. The Finance Admin CFO team provides critical financial support to corporate functions, including Finance, Security Operations and Management Committee. This involves monthly financial and management reporting, financial planning, and analysis of strategic and operational decisions.
The role is for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting Finance Operations and Corporate functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced organization and handle sensitive Company information with discretion. This position reports to the Team Lead for Financial Administration support.
We'll trust you to:
• Establishing relationships with key business contacts and working closely with stakeholders to define financial and operational reporting needs. Providing operational support to business by providing insight, feedback and recommendations on various business workflows and resource models.
• Owning the monthly close process for areas of responsibility, including analysis of key expenses and preparation or review of journal entries.
• Performing monthly reporting and analysis of resources for various functions and departments; Utilizing internal systems to ensure resources are appropriate and authorized by management.
• Preparing monthly financial reports for finance leadership and key business customers (e.g., variance analysis and key operational metrics.)
• Working with the T&E (Travel and Expense) team to evaluate user reporting and KPI requirements and develop system-based reporting.
• Working with business units to prepare clear, metric-based operating budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
• Developing and maintaining models and analyses to aid in the validation of financial forecasts and for special projects.
• Participating in the development of presentations for Senior Management, both on a regularly scheduled and ad hoc basis.
• Assisting in the design and development of key financial processes and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of processes, streamline collection, use, and presentation of data. Support periodic audits of internal controls.
You'll need to have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance;
• Minimum of 5 years financial planning + analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills and communication skills to work effectively with business units.
• Strong business writing skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
• Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams or independently.
• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to manipulate large datasets and create data tables & models in excel

• The ability to show initiative to identify improvements to processes and reports and question the status quo.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, and Enterprise software e.g. SAP, Analysis for Office, EPM
Salary Range = 110000 - 150000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
