Come be a part of Unity House of Troy’s Domestic Violence Program and make a difference in the lives of survivors. The Hotline Coordinator provides support and coordination for both the New York State Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline and the PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Hotline.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that callers in crisis receive compassionate, trauma-informed assistance, accurate information, and timely referrals to appropriate services and resources.

Key Responsibilities

+ Respond to callers on the PREA and Domestic Violence Hotlines, offering immediate assistance and support.

+ Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning for individuals in crisis.

+ Connect victims and survivors with information, services, and community resources.

+ Complete all contractual and regulatory documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Maintain confidentiality and uphold trauma-informed best practices in all interactions.

+ Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and belonging across all aspects of the program.

Qualifications

+ Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with victims of domestic violence or similar populations required.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

+ Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

+ Valid and clean NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

+ Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
