As a Child Care Center Coordinator , you will oversee the daily operations of our licensed childcare center, ensuring high-quality programming, staff supervision, and compliance with state regulations. You will support staff development, foster a safe and engaging environment for children, and build strong connections with families and the community. + Oversee daily center operations, supervise and support staff, develop and implement curriculum, maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment, and plan meals/snacks according to CACFP guidelines.
+ Collaborate with HR and Staff Development to recruit, hire, and onboard staff, make decisions on promotions and corrective actions, plan and lead training and professional development, conduct observations and performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and manage staff schedules to maintain ratios and coverage.
+ Build strong relationships with families, respond to inquiries and concerns, coordinate events and parent-teacher conferences, and collaborate with community organizations to enhance program quality and visibility.
+ Ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards, maintain staff and children’s records, attendance, incident reports, and training logs, develop and implement policies and procedures, stay current on licensing updates, and coordinate safety drills and inspections.
+ Manage enrollment and waiting lists, communicate availability to families, respond to inquiries, engage in outreach and marketing, and analyze trends to improve enrollment and retention.
+ Assist with budgeting, monitor tuition and expenditures, collaborate with leadership on financial forecasting, ensure compliance with financial policies, and support grant writing and fundraising.
+ Participate in ongoing training and professional development, support colleagues and agency initiatives, and perform related duties to meet departmental and organizational goals.

+ A person who can lead and support a team of early childhood professionals, promoting staff development, collaboration, and high-quality care
+ Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education
+ Experience with program operations, curriculum development, and maintaining safe, clean, and engaging environments for children
+ Ability to think critically, make sound decisions, and remain composed while providing guidance and solutions during challenging situations
+ Purpose-driven individual who is self-directed, demonstrates EPI’s values of people, creative cooperation, stewardship, and integrity, and is committed to supporting children, families, and staff
+ Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
+ Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed, and willingness to participate in events, training sessions, and meetings
+ Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly
Qualifications:
+ Minimum Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or Elementary Education with Early Childhood Endorsement preferred
+ At least four years of professional experience in childcare or early education, including direct experience with infants through preschool-aged children
+ Minimum one year of supervisory experience
+ Ability to pass all required background checks, including criminal, abuse, and Medicaid exclusion.
