Job Title: Electronics/Repair Technician

Job Responsibilities

The Electronics/Repair Technician is responsible for:

+ Demonstrates progressively increasing responsibility in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications equipment, electronics equipment

+ Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems

+ Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment

+ Troubleshooting RF networks

+ Use of Spectrum Analyzer

+ Full spectrum testing of HPA’s and LNB’s

+ Plotting and capturing test data

+ Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA’s

+ Use of TDMA and FDMA modems

+ Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling

+ Building signal and RF cables

+ Soldering, cables and circuit boards

+ Component level troubleshooting and repair of electronic/communications items

+ Experience in writing technical manuals and work instructions

+ May be required to travel up to 10% CONUS locations

Minimum Qualifications

+ Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance

+ Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

+ Shall have a minimum three (3) years experience with repairs or refurbishment of SATCOM or SATCOM related equipment.

Desired Qualification

5+ years experience and advance knowledge in the following areas:

+ Troubleshooting RF networks

+ Use of Spectrum Analyzer

+ Full spectrum testing of HPA’s and LNB’s

+ Plotting and capturing test data

+ Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA’s

+ Use of TDMA and FDMA modems

+ Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling

Education

+ High School Diploma or equivalent
