Job Description
The Communications & Events Coordinator is responsible for developing written content for social media, blogs, internal communications, email campaigns, and surveys. In addition to leading content creation, this role supports the planning and coordination of company events and assists with setup and logistics for board meetings. Working collaboratively across departments, the coordinator helps execute marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence, amplify our message, and engage both internal and external audiences.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Storytelling•Draft and edit social media content, press releases, blog posts, internal announcements, and email campaigns.•Develop compelling employee recognition stories and mission-driven narratives that align with Human Technologies’ beliefs and messaging.•Assist with editing transcripts, podcasts, and video content using tools such as Descript and Rev.•Ensure all written content follows brand voice and tone across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, blog, internal communications).
Social Media & Digital Marketing•Plan, schedule, and publish approved content across digital channels.•Build fully executable content packages in collaboration with the Graphic Artist—capturing images, drafting copy, and coordinating visual design needs.•Monitor engagement metrics using tools like Google Analytics 4, Hootsuite, Bitly, and Meta; develop insights and recommendations to improve reach and performance.
•Maintain and update the social media content calendar and coordinate post approvals.
Media Production & Asset Management•Capture high-quality photos, videos, and quotes that showcase our people, mission, and services.•Follow established guidelines for media capturing to ensure consistency and professionalism.•Organize and maintain marketing assets, including labeling, version control, and proper storage across shared drives and project management tools.•Support basic video and photo editing for use across marketing channels.
Event Marketing & Support•Partner with internal teams to plan and execute marketing support for company events such as employee picnics, board meetings, community events, and recognition ceremonies.•Capture event content for real-time promotion, post-event storytelling, and internal documentation.•Assist with event communication materials, logistics coordination, press releases, and follow-up promotions.
Executive & Board Support•Assist the President & CEO with preparation for quarterly Board of Directors meetings, including meeting materials, agenda development, dashboards, and digital uploads to board management software.•Provide administrative support for board technology platforms (such as OnBoard/BoardEffect/etc.), including organization of documents, permissions, and meeting logistics.•Ensure board-related files, schedules, and communications are prepared, accurate, and delivered on time.
Project Coordination & Administrative Support•Support ongoing marketing initiatives including website updates, signage projects, and mission-focused campaigns.•Track project progress in Monday.com, manage shared folders, and ensure deliverables stay on schedule.•Conduct light research on marketing trends, tools, and inclusive employment branding strategies; benchmark peer organizations and present recommendations.
Qualifications: •Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience.•1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital media, or communications preferred.•Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and brand alignment.•Experience managing social media platforms and analyzing digital metrics.•Basic photography and videography skills; familiarity with tools like Descript, Rev, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.•Comfortable using AI tools and digital platforms to enhance marketing workflows.•Passion for mission-driven work and an understanding of inclusive employment messaging.
