Job Description
As a Senior Construction Manager you will provide high-level technical support and lead quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) within the Rail Construction and Admin Management team. This role acts as an advisor on complex projects and applies advanced experience to independently make recommendations and decisions regarding construction work. You will conceptualize and create high quality solutions to ensure projects have the predictability they deserve by adeptly planning, coordinating, and managing overall construction progress and accountability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Provide high-level technical direction, quality, and constructability review for complex projects
+ Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced construction management concepts and developing approaches to solve for complexities
+ Perform QA/QC and ensure the delivery of completed projects meets quality standards and project objectives
+ Conduct reviews of projects of considerable scope and complexities
+ Advise and direct staff on construction approaches to fulfill project requirements
+ Work collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work
+ Contribute to the development of standards and/or guidelines for construction management activities within the team
+ Supervise and review technical assignments of less experienced staff
_Travel expectations for this position are estimated at 90% - 100% and will require visiting different projects across multiple states._

You bring to the team:
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to contribute and work well on a team
+ Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or other applicable field
+ A minimum of eight years of experience construction management with increasing responsibility
+ Maintains 10-Hour OSHA Certification
+ A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field services and railroad industry
+ Ability to foreshadow possible coordination issues between railroads, its contractors and ability to proactively mitigate them
+ Valid driver's license required
+ Has a willingness to work a flexible schedule
+ Represents Olsson in a professional manner at all times
