    Job Description

    Peerless Pump Company, a leading USA pump manufacturer is seeking a Senior Master Planner with extensive experience in production scheduling and material resource planning (MRP). This position will be a part of the Peerless Pump Supply Chain Planning Team and will be fully accountable for the schedule of customer orders, supporting an MTO/ETO pump manufacturing facility. Together with he rest of the Supply Chain function, the Senior Master Planner will be responsible for ensuring in-house manufactured pumps and all supporting materials are available and on time to meet customer expectations. The Senior Master Planner will be responsible for performing a series of detailed MRP tasks and taking adequate actions to ensure demand and supply align.

     

    This position reports to the Materials Manager and offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility and two days working remotely from home.

    What is the job about?

     

    + Responsible for running a series of daily MRP transactions & reports, and initiate actions to ensure full alignment between demand and supply.

    + Schedule and maintain production orders in support of customer demand.

    + Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production engineering, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.

    + Monitor production and supply schedule and initiate actions if on-time delivery to the customer is jeopardized.

    + Monitor inventory levels and adjust production plans accordingly to avoid shortages or overstock.

    + Resolve production issues and bottlenecks to minimize delays and maintain delivery timelines.

    + Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure production feasibility.

    + Maintain accurate production data in ERP systems.

    + Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to align production with material availability.

    + Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.

    + Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations and resolve issues.

    + Accountable to the schedule of all lines pertaining to the customer order.

    + Facilitate production meetings with warehouse and production supervisors to ensure production orders stay on schedule.

    + Accountable for meeting deliverables to support company strategies.

    + Collect and analyze data to create actions plans when an order does not customer requested data.

    + Escalate capacity concerns when supply cannot meet customer demands.

     

    What do you need to apply?

     

    + A bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field is required.

    + A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in a similar position.

    + Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.

    + Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency.

    + Strong computer skills (MS Office, Power BI, etc.)

    + Experience with MM and PP modules preferably in SAP.

    + Previous experience as a planner within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

    + Highly organized and good at following up.

     

    Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
