The Sr. Manager, Workplace Strategy is accountable for the regional strategy to support optimized design of J&J Facilities and support projects across J&J’s portfolio of businesses & sites within the region of its own responsibility.
This role is responsible for assisting in the development of strategies for innovative, user-centric workplace environments, through partnerships with teams around the globe to deploy these strategies. Delivering on below responsibilities will require defining the business case influencing senior leaders to gain consensus to drive workplace efficiency and effectiveness.
A suitable candidate for this role will have deep knowledge of workplace strategies in office environments, program development & deployment, project management and business acumen.
Key relationships include Strategic Space Planning, Project Delivery (E&D), E&PS Global Functions, E&PS Regional Leads, EHS, GHS, IT, Security, and other related J&J Functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will communicate with E&PS Leadership Teams, J&J senior business leadership in a region, J&J finance across multiple sectors, Real Estate & FM leaders, HR & IT leadership in a region, and Workplace Experience team.
You will be responsible for** **:
Strategic Planning & Development
+ Use regional experience, internal data and external information to build programs that best satisfy the diverse needs of J&J
+ Leverage regional data and insights to inform and align the workplace design and operation strategies to best support the businesses
+ Partner with Regional Strategic Space Planning to uncover opportunities to optimize the portfolio and support regional business strategies
+ Support the Workplace & Facilities Survey and generate insights to shape programs and strategies across all functions related to office work (Workplace, FM, IT, HR, Inclusivity, Wellness, etc.)
Policy, Standards & Guideline Management
+ Communicate and train Policies, Standards & Guidelines – Standardize workplace practices & solutions
+ Support actively the maintenance of workplace playbook
+ Support program metrics based on external and internal benchmarks and research
+ Business owner for all regional workplace data analytics and dashboards
Management of Program and Program Innovation
+ Support innovation pilots for developing new concepts
+ Refine, scale and deploy successful pilots appropriately across the enterprise
+ Evolve the workplace change management program to meet evolving needs and partner with FM to support sustaining high performing workplaces
+ Support approval process of change management vendors and scope for workplace projects
+ Develops and maintain the organisational change tools and expertise to support and sustain deployments (with both internal and external partners)
+ Use external and internal insights to drive continuous improvement of existing workplace programs and participate in the development of new workplace programs
Leadership & Stakeholder Relations
+ Provide material presentations & briefings – prepare high level strategy reports and updates
+ Site specific stakeholder engagement – as needed manage relationship with regional/local site leaders & functions to support workplace success
+ Apply regional governance criteria to successfully deploy programs in partnership with regional teams
+ Support regional talent (both external and internal) to promote and execute Workplace Experience strategy. This includes training and coaching.
Program Delivery
+ Promote understanding of JNJ Workplace Programs to enable the E&PS organizations to support business strategies and needs
+ Provide the tools and resources to successfully plan global workplace projects
+ Represents Workplace Strategy in Project Execution Planning (PEP) session for workplace projects
Project Delivery
+ Support regional teams to provide visioning, option analysis, scope development and test fit design capability for large office projects globally.
+ Coordinate the design of workplaces with the appropriate change management and operations of the workplace to best serve the business needs
+ Approves change management vendors and scope for workplace projects
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education:
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, design, engineering or related fields is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Required:
+ Minimum of 8 years of related experience in a Workplace Strategies environment
+ Deep knowledge of workplace strategies in office environments
+ Excellent judgment, analytical, decision making, design and problem-solving skills
+ Knowledge of MS. Office Suite
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Proven organization, coordination, and action tracking skills
+ Ability to function effectively and multitask when presented with tight deadlines
+ Out of the box thinking, innovation mentality
+ Financial analysis, business case preparation and strategic business planning
+ Demonstrated ability to partner, lead diverse teams through change and deliver results in a matrix environment
+ Demonstrated ability to identify & adopt emerging approaches and industry innovations for J&J
+ Knowledge of industry trends and leading practices with respect to workplace strategy and innovation
+ Ability to facilitate workplace visioning with senior management and translate business needs into workplace solutions
+ Ability to communicate at the FM LT level while integrating and communicating with the FM regional organizations
+ Ability to adapt emerging standard methodologies and industry innovations
Preferred:
+ Experience in design/architecture, change management, project management and facility management
+ Global/Regional experience preferably across multiple geographies
Other:
+ This position may require up to 30% of domestic and/or international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000 to $212,750
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
