    The Oswego Alumni Association, Inc., located at SUNY Oswego, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Director of Annual Giving. While this position is located on the campus of SUNY Oswego, this is an Oswego Alumni Association, Inc., position, NOT a New York State position. The Oswego Alumni Association, Inc. supports and adheres to the mission and vision of SUNY Oswego.

    Compensation: Minimum salary $52,500 commensurate with experience plus full Alumni Association benefits package.

     

    Date of Appointment: As soon as possible

    Description of Responsibilities:

    + Oversee telefund operations, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising student callers and supervisors. Provide motivation, feedback, and professional development to ensure program success. Manage data analysis, reporting, script preparation, and coordination with advancement partners to ensure accurate and timely processing of pledges, gifts, and biographical updates.

    + Develop, implement, and evaluate digital fundraising strategies and online giving page enhancements, ensuring an optimized, mobile-responsive, and user-friendly experience that drives engagement and conversion.

    + Create and manage compelling Annual Fund content for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook), working with interns to ensure consistent, timely, and visually engaging posts that highlight campaigns, challenges, and donor impact.

    + Conduct personal outreach to cultivate relationships with alumni donors, encouraging increased support through segmented solicitations, personalized touchpoints, and tailored stewardship.

    + Leverage analytics and digital reporting tools to track the effectiveness of giving pages, email campaigns, and social media strategies; provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

    Job Requirements:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organizational abilities.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

    + Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    + Background in supervising student teams or volunteers.

    + Experience with social media management and content creation.

    + Demonstrated expertise with digital fundraising platforms, online giving tools, and/or web content management systems.

    + Ability to analyze digital engagement data and apply insights to improve donor acquisition and retention.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with phonathons preferred.

    + Experience with A/B testing, digital advertising, or online campaign optimization.

    + Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Raiser's Edge, Slate, or similar) and data segmentation tools.

    + Proficiency with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights) to measure donor engagement and conversion.

    + Knowledge of email marketing platforms and strategies for improving open rates, click-through rates, and giving page conversions.

    + Creative skills in visual design, video content, or storytelling for digital fundraising campaigns.
