Description:
Hybrid 3 days/week in Reston, VA or Washington, DC
Our client is looking for a SME in IT Modeling and Analytics within a Financial capacity. In this role,you will use advanced quantitative techniques to develop, validate, or audit financial models that assess risk and value fixed income products. You also will contribute to project planning, resolve technical issues, and guide teams using strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $75-$85 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
+ Use advanced quantitative techniques to develop, validate, or audit financial models that assess risk and value fixed income products.
+ Contribute to project planning, resolve technical issues, and guide teams using strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Experience Requirements:
Required Experience:
+ MS in areas of Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative discipline
+ 10 years Quantitative Analytics experience in the development, validation or auditing in any or more of areas in credit, interest rate, counterparty credit risk, and / or fixed income valuation models in the financial services industry
+ Strong analytical skills with attention to details; critical thinking
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Knowledge of mortgage finance and secondary mortgage market
+ Knowledge of credit risk modeling of single-family and multi-family mortgages
+ Knowledge of interest rate management practices
Additional Skills:
+ Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft Project)
+ Attention to detail
+ Strong Proficiency with the appropriate area of expertise needed for the project
+ Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
+ Ability to resolve technical issues
+ Ability to manage, coordinate and guide a project team
+ Strong issue resolution and risk management skills
+ Experience with project management methodologies
Education Requirements:
Advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in quantitative Finance disciplines.
+ Bachelor degree in Business or related field desired
_Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
