    Description

    The Team Leader for CSI (Clients Socially Integrated) will provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations for the CSI program. This role will directly supervise our CSI program, including supervision of team members and day-to-day operations of the program. This position will also be responsible for client file maintenance, including conducting file reviews, attending annual meetings, as well as contacting guardians and caregivers. The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Individuals with previous experience in day habilitation settings or a combination of Direct Support Professional and leadership experience are urged to apply!

    Accountabilities include:

    Manage the day-to-day programming of CSI. Hire, train, and support Direct Support Professionals for CSI. Implement and monitor quality controls in all areas of program services. Create and organize the social component of the day program, to include activities within the community as well as extra community outings. Work within the community to locate volunteer and employment educational opportunities for clients. Work collaboratively with Direct Support Professionals to manage social and outing calendars.

     

    Plan, implement, and supervise learning activities. Monitor and track clients’ social fund(s), including petty cash, receipts, and provider/guardian communication. Monitor timeliness and quality control of documentation. Maintain client files and paperwork, and attend annual meetings for clients. Participate in meetings and team member development activities as required. Function as a role model of appropriate behaviors for clients in various community settings. Fill in as first in line, Direct Support Professional for CSI programs as needed. Provide daily transportation to/from work and community social outings, as needed. Support clients with personal needs as required (i.e., medication management, toileting, personal hygiene care). Maintain communication with guardian/providers regarding daily programming concerns (lunch, clothing, funds, incident reports, etc.) Serve on the Adult Day Leadership Team as well as the agency Operations Team. Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required

    + Two years’ previous experience collaborating with people who have disabilities

    + Supervisory experience and team member training and development experience preferred

    + Certified in CPR (Adult and Child), First Aid, or ability to receive certification during the first 90 days of employment

    + Ability to successfully complete Mandatory Reporter of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within the first 30 days

    + Ability to successfully complete the TRIO within the first year of employment

    + Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa Class D Chauffeur’s license

    + Must be insurable under Easterseals Iowa vehicle insurance policy

    + Ability to pass a Medication Management course during the first six months of employment

    + Desire to work in a team environment

    + Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines

    + Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats

    + Ability to operate a computer and navigate through the Easterseals database

    + Experience in word processing software; Word and Excel preferred

    + Ability to write complete sentences and utilize appropriate grammar

    + Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift

    + Ability to transfer or move a minimum of 80 pounds

    + Access to reliable transportation for regular participation at work

    Salary Description

    $36,360.00 - $52,156.00
