Job Description
As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager your primary goal will be learning about the day-to-day operations management of a Liaison for our co-op member properties. As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager you are required to gain an understanding how to develop and maintain professional relationships with members on and off-site. As well as learning how to coordinate Leasing, Maintenance, Finance, and Facilities operations of multiple co-op properties to create and maintain overall successful and fluid processes.
As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager you will work with and support our volunteer members. You will help ensure a rewarding experience by helping to educate them on HUD, Fair Housing laws, and CSI procedures. This role will also educate you on working with staff and committees to manage vacancies.
This position includes learning about the co-op system, working with the Senior Liaison staff to meet operational goals, and supporting the entire Liaison department. Duties may include clerical and administrative duties as well as any assignments or projects designated by your immediate supervisor.

+ Maintain a positive attitude

+ Support the Liaison department with administrative and clerical duties
+ Help with daily office duties (filing, organizing)
+ Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns.
+ Maintaining and storing documentation effectively
+ Attain knowledge in understanding the full spectrum of responsibilities and day-to-day tasks involved with property management
+ Assist with special projects as needed
+ Assist Liaison team with financial reporting, operating and capital budget preparation & reforecasts
+ Gain experience in financial analysis and value creation at the asset-level

Requirements
Work environmentAn Assistant Liaison/Property Manager generally works in an office environment.
Physical demands
This position requires sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and significant amount of time on the phone.
+ Must be able to push/pull/lift to 50 pounds at a time.
Travel requiredMay need to travel to co-ops on occasion.
Required education and experience
+ Associate degree, Bachelor’s Preferred, equivalent experience or a combination of both
+ Excellent time management
+ Diligence for quality work
+ Ownership of assigned tasks
+ Respect, passion, and commitment for working with seniors
+ Property management experience desirable but not required
+ Desire an opportunity to advance to liaison and senior liaison positions
+ Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance
+ Ability to communicate with different functions within the organization – leasing specialist, facilities, certification, etc.
