    As a Principal Data Storage Administrator, you'll operate, maintain, and defend on-premises and cloud-based storage resources, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and security for mission-critical workloads. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating and monitoring storage systems, maintaining storage resources, defending storage environments against cyber threats, optimizing storage architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing storage metrics and trends, and ensuring adherence to federal regulations and ITIL practices.

    Location Requirement

     

    The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS.

     

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 6 years of experience in data storage administration, with hands-on expertise operating, maintaining, and securing on-premises and cloud resources in government or large enterprise environments

    + Proven track record defending storage systems, including threat mitigation and compliance in regulated settings

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

    + Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service operations

    + Proficiency in storage technologies (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI) and management tools for hybrid environments

    + Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for high-stakes data environments

    + Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

     

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + CompTIA Storage certification

    + Experience supporting DoD or large federal storage operations, including hybrid cloud integrations and data sovereignty requirements

    + ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with focus on service asset and configuration management

    + Background in storage virtualization (e.g., VMware vSAN) and automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell for storage provisioning)

    + Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., SNIA Certified Storage Professional - SCSP)

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
