As a **Principal Logistics Specialist** , you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support to the customer.     As a Principal Logistics Specialist, you'll perform lifecycle management for hardware assets, including reporting on status, maintaining version currency, and coordinating vendor/manufacturer maintenance to ensure assets remain current and operational. You'll handle property receipt processes, manage refresh data initiatives, oversee inventory control, coordinate equipment staging and distribution, facilitate warranty and repair coordination, and ensure secure erasure and cleansing of data from decommissioned hardware.

    The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS.

     

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 6 years of experience in logistics and lifecycle management, with hands-on expertise in hardware asset handling, inventory control, and vendor coordination in government or large enterprise environments

    + Proven track record managing secure asset disposition, including data erasure, transfers, and destruction in regulated settings

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

    + Strong knowledge of federal logistics and property management standards (e.g., FAR, NIST 800-88) and ITIL practices for service asset management

    + Proficiency in logistics tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, or asset tracking software) and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting

    + Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills for multi-stakeholder coordination

    + Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

    + Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification

    + Experience supporting DoD or large federal logistics operations, including hardware refresh cycles and secure data sanitization

    + ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with focus on service asset and configuration management

    + Background in automation for inventory tracking (e.g., RFID integration) and procurement processes

    + Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional - CSCP)

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $81336 - $138271

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
