Job Summary:
Performs repetitive mechanical assembly tasks that require precision and attention to detail. Ensures consistent pace and quality of work while following all safety and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
+ Follow all policies and guidelines related to workplace safety and product quality.
+ Complete all required site-specific safety and quality training.
+ Receive components or items for assembly and/or testing in programmed sequence.
+ Assemble and/or test mechanical or electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and simple jigs or fixtures.
+ Assemble minor variations of standard in-house products as needed.
+ Follow clear assembly/test instructions (e.g., color coding, PVC thermal welding, thread taping).
+ Enter work hours and production data into ERP systems (SAP).
+ Complete required production documentation accurately.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform daily 5S/housekeeping audits.
+ Read and interpret simple layout and assembly drawings.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area.
+ Support internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Position Requirements:
Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience & Skills:
+ 1–3 years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (through work experience, coursework, or hobbies).
+ Basic computer and documentation skills (SAP experience a plus).
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
+ Ability to walk, write, and type frequently.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
+ Ability to climb stairs and perform occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
+ Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
+ Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, with exposure to temperatures ranging from 0°F to 120°F.
+ May be exposed to dust, dirt, and noise levels requiring hearing protection.
+ Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
