Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Technical Product Owner to lead a niche product implementation in the global trade compliance space. This role requires a dynamic individual who can wear multiple hats—Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Scrum Master—to drive product delivery, bridge technical and business teams, and ensure alignment across global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership & Strategy

Own the product vision and roadmap for a specialized global trade compliance solution.

Define and prioritize product features and user stories in JIRA, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders across EU and North America to gather requirements and validate solutions.

• Business Analysis & Domain Expertise

Translate complex import/export compliance requirements into actionable product features.

Understand and articulate the role of HS (Harmonized System) codes in international trade, including how classification impacts duties, licensing, and regulatory compliance.

Work closely with transportation, finance, and compliance teams to ensure product meets audit, recordkeeping, and customs agency standards.

• Scrum Master & Agile Delivery

Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.

Ensure user stories are well-defined with acceptance criteria and properly estimated and prioritized.

Drive continuous improvement in agile practices and team collaboration.

• Communication & Presentation

Serve as the bridge between highly technical development teams and business stakeholders.

Present database structures, workflows, and product updates in a clear and accessible manner.

Create and deliver basic presentations to communicate product progress and decisions.

Skills and Requirements

Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Scrum Master.

Strong understanding of global trade compliance, especially import/export regulations and HS classification systems.

Background in transportation, international logistics, or finance/audit domains.

Experience working with JIRA and managing agile product delivery.

Ability to write clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria.

Comfortable working with databases and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Exposure to global operations, particularly in EU and North America.

Familiarity with customs procedures, duty assessments, and international licensing requirements.
