    Peckham Inc. – Manufacturing Receiving Team Member – Level 2

    Important Details:

    Starting Wage: $14.00 per hour

     

    Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday

    SUMMARY

    The Manufacturing Receiving Team Member will work in a large warehouse environment receiving fabrics from delivery trucks and placing materials in the fabric bins, using the packing slip to check off every roll and verify the shipment is complete. Accuracy and efficiency are very important success factors. This position will work relatively independently.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    + All duties and responsibilities of Manufacturing Receiving Team Member – Level 1

    + Unloading trucks with several rolls of fabric – Daily/as needed

    + Reports any discrepancies in the packing slip(s) to receiving supervisor – Daily

    + Must be able to drive a forklift and reach truck – As needed

    + Must familiarize and memorize the different fabrics we have - Daily

    + Move fabric bins and unload pallets from freight trucks – As needed

    + Use a handheld scanner to receive in fabric and components – As needed

    + Moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds) – Daily

    + Occasional lifting (up to 100 pounds) - Daily

    + Meets deadlines - Daily

    + Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer’s standards of use and cleaning - Daily

    + Maintain safe and clean working environment - Daily

    + Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards – Daily

    + Participation in Peckham’s safety programs and ergonomic activities is required.

    + Other related duties as assigned

    EQUIPMENT USED

    Fork truck, reach truck, pallet jacks.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    Forklift license is required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read limited number of two or three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to communicate effectively to others.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to carry out instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Have problem solving ability. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to memorize several different style numbers and fabric types.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift/or move up to 100 pounds.
