About the Role:
Manages the CRE loan portfolio, credit review, training process/function, DRR accuracy, and operations. Reviews recommendations for CRE lines of business (CRED, Home Builder Finance, Affordable Housing, and small ticket Multifamily) for non-owner-occupied investment income real estate. Ensure accuracy and compliance within a defined scope and in partnership with CRE Managers in order to manage risk exposure consistent with bank loan quality guidelines that results in audit readiness.
• Collaborates, consults, and partners with CRE Managers, Relationship Managers and Underwriters to develop high quality credit recommendations and loan portfolios.
• Coaches CRE Underwriters and Credit Analyst in the development of complete, accurate and well-structured recommendations (credit/underwriting), including guidance and advice on financial analyses, loan structuring and other credit skills. Advises on the risk rating process and ensures timely and accurate documentation of rating migrations.
• Monitors and verifies risk rating accuracy, for the loan portfolios, as well as individual loans submitted for approval.
• Helps maintain CRE credit quality standards and provides strong and consistent credit leadership.
• Contributes to the development of credit policies, processes and methodologies.
• Ensures CRE department is aware of all relevant changes in credit requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring preparedness and compliance with all CRE audits and exams with credit & operational focus. Develops training for CRE associates on related audit findings for continuous improvement.
• Responsible for operational continuity and reporting (i.e., past-due payments, loan maturities, etc.) and dashboard maintenance and development. Attends as CRE representative on cross functional bank wide taskforces and projects with CQA, Credit Review, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Responsible for managing a team of CRE Credit Analysts including training, mentoring, developing and performance managing.
• Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
• May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting or other related field or equivalent work experience, required.
• More than 10 years of relevant commercial real estate lending and credit experience, required.
• 4-7 years of experience as supervisor/manager, mentorship role, reviewing others work and providing advice on best practices and compliance, required.
• Experience developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s) of lines of business within Commercial Real Estate (CRE).
• Ability to regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
• Excellent relationship management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, and credit and credit quality skills.
• Expert knowledge of Wholesale Commercial Real Estate (non-owner-occupied investment income real estate) products and services that result in successfully underwriting and monitoring all bank products and portfolios.
• Experience managing and developing others and ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to change course (adaptable) at a moment’s notice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
• Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.
• Ability to work under tight timelines, and high-volume levels in keeping with established Service Level Agreement for position.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $165,146.11 $300,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
